Our attorneys have over twenty (20) years’ experience defending claims against insurance companies in instances where policyholders disagree with a coverage determination and file suit seeking a judicial declaration of coverage.  Dan Coffey successfully represented a major insurance carrier in obtaining dismissal of claims that pollution resulting from disposal into the “Love Canal” was a “sudden and accidental” occurrence.  Our attorneys have successfully obtained summary judgment decisions dismissing first-party claims, and have also been successful overturning summary judgment denials on appeal.  We have taken Examinations Under Oaths (“EUOs”) of insureds.  It is our philosophy that insurance coverage denials properly made must be vigorously and cost-effectively challenged and dismissed.
